URGENT URGENT URGENT URGENT

Well folks, I had hoped to report by now that we had found homes for all of our dogs but sadly I cannot. Seems our usual supply of those wanting to help has dryed up somewhat! Where are you all? To recap, we have a two year old spayed bitched which is a very friendly girl, and we have a 7 year old again a spayed bitch who has a very sweet nature. We are desperate to get them into kind loving homes as soon as possible. PLEASE put your thinking caps on, we would love to hear from anyone interested. Rae's contact details for any further information is 01302 711691.

SAD NEWS

We just thought that you might like to be aware that tonight it was confirmed that Hustle, the Border Collie who went missing during a journey was in fact killed very soon after falling from the van in which she was travelling. I know you will all want to join me in sending our sincere sympathy to her owners.

RESCUE DOGS

Thanks for everyone's input - it is always good to read the opinions of others. Anybody wishing to have further details of any of the Rescues can phone Rae at any time - personally I feel a list of why's, wherefore's and whatever's would tend to be a boring read and I want all the dogs to have the best possible chance. Unfortunately, we do not let our Rescues go to those who work full time - some of them do have issues with having been left to their own devices and have caused neighbour problems. We always try to be as honest as possible with our enquirers, we offer help at any time. If dogs have a medical problem we offer help with veterinary fees and if the rehome does not work out we would ALWAYS take the dog back.

Some people wrongly think that an enormous garden is a must for a Munsterlander, but this is far from true, we tend to find people with smaller gardens take the dogs for walk more often, but we do ask that the garden is secure and safe for the dogs. We would never knowingly rehome an aggressive dog. Amongst our Rescues available at the moment two are from homes where health has become a problem in keeping the dogs - one in particular had a very young owner who has had a massive stroke - and please let me say that the majority of rehomes, the owners have been through enormous problems and self-questioning before they take the sad decision to part with their dogs. They have not been given to Rescue on a whim.

Jo Bramhall assesses the dogs that come in and I will chat to her about the categories for her opinion. In the meantime, if anybody needs more information, PLEASE get in touch.

Thank you again for your input, it is very much appreciated.

M A D D I E

Sorry for the last mixed up message - should read:-

MADDIE THE MUNSTERLANDER NEEDS A NEW HOME URGENTLY.

M A D D I E

M A D D I E the MUNSTERLANDERS NEWS A NEW HOME - URGENTLY.................

AN IMPORTANT PLEA

You might remember some time ago we told you about some of our very kind supporters had been fund raising to bring a Munsterlander back from Spain where her owner had become ill and could no longer care for this girl or her Spanish companion.

I thought that I would let you know that Maddie the Munsterlander and her friend arrive here in the UK at the weekend. That is good news I know, but the sad news is that we have yet to find a home for them. In an ideal world the dogs could be rehomed together, but we understand that they are not totally reliant on each other so their best bet for securing new homes might be to separate them. Maddie gets on well with almost everything - other dogs and people, and she is six. PLEASE PLEASE let us know as soon as possible if any of you readers would consider rehoming her, it would be lovely to get her settled and happy as soon as possible.
