Missing Munsterlander

You may have read elsewhere that a Munsterlander went missing in the Brampton area (near Carlisle) on the A.69 last Thursday. He wandered off whilst on a walk and was "coaxed" into a White Campervan (a Hymer model, with a 04 registration) by a middle aged couple who told a Burger Van lady in the layby that they would take him to the local police station. Despite contacting all police stations in the area, along with everyone else they could think of, there has been no further sighting of him.

Of course the owners are distraught and we have been trying to think of as many ideas to help with the search as possible. The owners have been on the local radio and we are hoping that there will be an appeal on the "Dog Lost" section of the Sharon Osbourne Show which goes out at tea time on ITV. The doglost website has further details and we understand that there is a cash reward for his return.

If only those people knew what worry and upset they have caused by their actions, they would not hesitate to return him to his rightful owners.

The dog is 2 years old, and is a strikingly marked dog - lots of white with a white blaze. He was not wearing a collar and is not microchipped.

If you see a strange/new Munsterlander in your area, please get in touch - we can soon identify whether it is a Rescue that has been placed recently or indeed the possibility that it may be this missing dog. It is over a week now since he went missing and it would be really great if he could be home where he belongs by the weekend.

On the doglost site, there is a poster to print out and that can be circulated in your area. Of course the people with the campervan could be just about anywhere now and in any of our own local areas, they could have just been holidaying in that area. PLEASE PLEASE keep your eyes open for him.
